Even though the elections to the Punjab Assembly are going to be held in the coming year 2022, but all the political parties do not want to leave any stone unturned in their efforts. Recently, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has announced an alliance with Mayawati’s political party Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP), and speaking on behalf of this alliance, top SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal has announced that in Punjab When the BSP-SAD party forms the government, they will provide a government job to one member from each family who were martyred in the farmers’ movement.
Sukhbir Singh Badal in his announcement said, “I assure Punjabis that soon after the formation of the government in 2022, one government job per family to the martyrs of the SAD-BSP peasant movement, free education up to post-graduation to their children and grandchildren. And will honor the entire family with a health insurance cover.”
It is to be known that for almost a year, there are huge protests in many parts of the country against the new agricultural laws proposed by the central government. The farmers of Punjab also actively participated in this agricultural movement and some farmers even died in the struggle with the police. Some farmers even died in accidents. There is huge outrage across Punjab over these deaths. In this spirit of the people, SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal has today promised jobs, education, and insurance for the families of farmers of the state who died during the farmers’ agitation.
