The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the year 2023 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 7th May, 2023. The registration process for NEET 2023 will commence on 1st March, 2023. Application fees and other exam-related details will be included in the examination bulletin and notice. Candidates who wish to appear for the NEET 2023 exam must be at least 17 years of age.
The NEET UG entrance examination is conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS and other undergraduate medical programs in colleges, deemed universities and institutions (AIIMS & JIPMER) that are recognized in India.
A candidate who is appearing for the qualification examination or Class 12, and whose results are not yet available, can apply and take the exam. However, if the candidate fails to qualify the eligibility examination with the required pass percentage at the time of the counseling, he/she will not be eligible for admission to the undergraduate medical courses.
The eligibility for admission to undergraduate medical programs such as MBBS and BDS is determined by the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate (UG) courses. The exam is conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
