Crystal Lachance a single parent with no vehicle who strolls one hour to and from her position at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Salem, Ore. She’s made that trek each end of the week for an entire year, just to bring home the bacon for herself and her 9-year-old child, Rhys.

Lachance says her chief, Miranda Marston, named her in mystery for the organization’s “Kentucky Fried Wishes” program, which prizes representatives who go well beyond in the working environment.

Lachance had no clue that she’d participated in the challenge when she appeared at work on Tuesday, just to find that she’d won a pristine arrangement of wheels. The vehicle was sitting tight for her in the parking garage with a major red bow on top.

“This filled my heart with joy,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday. “I have been battling a great deal this year however haven’t surrendered and have been buckling down.”

Lachance said she as of late got her driver’s license and has been set aside to purchase a vehicle. “Presently I have a vehicle and the proprietor of KFC will be paying a half year of protection for me,” she composed. “I feel so honoured today and I simply love my activity and my manager Miranda. She truly is the best supervisor ever!”

She told nearby station WTHR that she strolls about five kilometres to work for each move — at that point strolls back to the recuperation home where she lives with her kid. “It was terrible,” she told the station. “I don’t care to request help. I like to thoroughly take care of myself.”
