Delegates at the session will deliberate upon resolutions pertaining to political, economic, and international affairs. The party’s steering committee, led by Mr. Kharge, unanimously decided on Day One not to hold elections to the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and instead authorized the party chief to nominate members to the committee. Notably, members of the Gandhi family were absent from this meeting.
Later on Day One, the party’s subjects committee, with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in attendance, held its first meeting. The committee deliberated on the six resolutions to be adopted at the session.
