Amit Shah Cancels WB Visit Amid Tensions In Delhi

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, was scheduled for his two-day visit to West Bengal starting Friday.
But the minister has postponed his visit amid the tensions in the National Capital caused by Republic Day violence as well as a low-intensity blast near Israel Embassy on Friday reported sources.
AS per schedule, Amit Shah was supposed to leave for Kolkata on a two-day visit, starting Saturday and Sunday. He was scheduled to visit the Iskon Temple on Saturday morning. From there he was supposed to leave for Mayapur in Nadia district and Thakurnagar in North 24 Parganas to attend rallies.
On Sunday, he was scheduled to visit the Bharat Sevashram Sangh in south Kolkata besides attending a rally in Howrah district.
Shah was supposed to leave for Kolkata on Friday night to participate in party programmes on Saturday and Sunday.
